Lough Derg is the largest lake on the River Shannon and is adjacent to Clareville House, Tuamgraney, Scariff. This lake offers superb angling, mainly for pike and coarse fish, but wild brown trout are fished during the Mayfly season. There is a lot of natural access along its shoreline and there is also access via several slipways and there are many sheltered harbours and marinas dotted around its shore. The lake is noted for record weight pike and the best time to fish for them is early Spring. Angling on the lake is mainly by boat and hire facilities are available.
Substantial Breakfast menu with vegetarians and coeliacs catered for.
